Arts & culture are integral in our well-being. How is creativity interconnected with health? How does arts & cultural expression benefit those of us learning a new language, while adapting to a new culture & country? How can engaging in creative activities benefit our globally diverse communities? We will explore the many multi-faceted ways that our health is affected through arts & cultural experiences, with a special focus for ESL learners & newcomers to the USA. Prevention of disease & promotion of wellness will be our focus, as we explore impacts of creativity on health. What can we do to advance arts, culture & well-being? Global, as well as local, efforts promoting awareness & creating opportunities for integrating arts, culture & well-being, will be explored. There will be time for answering questions & sharing ideas on ways we could incorporate creativity in our individual lives, along with our global communities. Community resources & events, as well as general information on arts, culture & well-being will be provided. Join us to learn more about the important impacts of arts & culture on our well-being.
