Friends Annual Meeting followed by The Importance of Bees

The Friends annual business meeting will be from 6:30 pm - 7 pm.  All are welcome to attend this meeting. This will be followed by a talk by John Hedly. 

Join local beekeeper and Auburn resident, John Hedly, one of over 1,00 members of the Worcester County Beekeepers Association, a leader in beekeeping education for over 100 years. 

John's presentation includes artifacts and information on the following topics:

  • Starting a beehive
  • Collecting honey
  • The physical structure of a hive
  • Bee chores in and out of a hive
  • The bee colony and its organization
  • The importance of pollination
